![]() It becomes a difficult choice when deciding on 3 source spells that take 2 or 3 slots each, or 6-9 regular spells. I have taken the perk that gives 3 Mem for a couple characters (can't remember that perks name). I did find one piece of plate armor that gave +3 Mem, but it's so low level now that I had to store it. Most equipment seems to have buffs for all the stats, as well as movement & initiative, but not memory. He's never fallen once in battle, has massive amounts of physical & magical armor.Īll stats reflect buffs from equipment. Losa, pure spell cast has an Int in the high 40s, with 24 active Memory slots.īeast, wand & shield caster, has Int & Con at about 38-40 each, but only 18 Mem slots. Sebeile, my ranger, has 40+ points in Finesse & 30+ in Wits, with an Initiative of 38. Although he does have 2 or 3 pts in Poly, as some of those spells are really useful (like the Wings spell), and damage spells get a bonus from Str. My 2H fighter (Ifan) has a Str in the low 40s, but as you said, fighters don't need quite so much memory. ![]() Yeah, I've been saving my level up points so far from level 17, knowing I might only get 1 more level up. (In your case, it sounds like you've been completely neglecting it, so I'd move some of the points from WIT or CON into Memory) If you feel like you need all the skills you have AND another one on top, put a point or two into Memory. The best suggestion I can have for a practical approach is to look at your memorized skills and think "Is the skill I want to get better than are any of these. ![]() The trick is to not take so much Memory that you're diverting points away from your primary damage-increasing attribute (STR/INT/FIN). The same goes for characters who take extra skills for their utility value. Memory is far more important in the early game than the late game, though, because of the free slots you get every other level.Ĭasters need more Memory than melee fighters. After the early game, I tend to save 1-2 attribute points in case I need them, and if I think I need more Memory, that's where I put them.
